Read it

I have corrected a major omission in my reading list - I said in a previous post that I'd never read The Wind in the Willows - we went to the library yesterday because I was starved for some new reading matter and I remembered (one of my major problems is that I think, "Oh, I'd like to read that" and go to the library and promptly forget all about it. I ought to make a list!), so last night I treated myself to Kenneth Grahame. And it was lovely. I can't think why I found it boring the first time I tried - maybe I was too small to appreciate it.

It's not one I'd read a thousand times over and over, like I do with some books, but I'm glad I've read it. It will be a good one for reading aloud to the small daughter when she gets older.
