And I would walk 500 miles ... for a bath

There's only one problem about studying extramurally through Massey - sometimes there are block courses, and they're mostly in Palmerston North. Not my favourite town in the country - but then, it's about 10,000 times better than Hamilton! At least the main Massey campus (Turitea) is pretty - lots of trees and grass, and lots of opportunities to get wet/cold/attacked by a horse between classes. I'm up there from tomorrow night (Sunday) for a week: my block course for ergonomics is from Monday-Wednesday and I've got a course for work on Thursday-Friday, also conveniently in PN. And work is paying for a motel/food etc. Nice. However, I'm not too thrilled about a solid week in PN by myself - hubby and small daughter are joining me on Thursday night after Playcentre, but the rest of the week looks like it might be submerged in hefty tomes out of sheer boredom....

There is a saving grace though: the motel has a spa. After three years in our house without a bathtub (we only have a shower), the idea of turning myself in to Homo lobsterii is deeply appealing. I've even packed some of my favourite Lush stuff to encourage some serious pampering....
