Wow. It's 8.30pm and there's silence! That's two nights running. Maybe we're winning the bed-wars! We're put our collective parental foot (or should that be feet?) down and said that small daughter is not allowed the door open - she was using it as a stalling tactic to give herself an excuse not to go to sleep. We were almost in despair as she wasn't going to sleep until 9pm or after, even though she was in bed by 7.30pm each night, and it was driving us batty. Maybe it's worked. We'll have to see if this is the beginning of a pattern!
