Feeling Potterish again

Rove McManus had a hilarious interview with Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows posted on YouTube. Some new footage from the Half-Blood Prince movie that's opening here in NZ next week (can't wait!) and some very funny discussions with Dan and Rupert about their various roles in HBP and DH, and some of the changes that have come over the years they have been filming together.

This dedicated HP fan has been re-reading all 7 books just to make sure I'm completely up-to-date again when HBP opens - I also caught most of Order of the Phoenix on SkyMovies last night while doing some work in the motel (another trip away...). Of course, we do have all of the movies and books at home but it was nice to have it in widescreen! However, seeing OOTP again reminded me why I definitely prefer the books to the movies. JK Rowling is a genius, and that level of cleverness doesn't always translate well into a movie medium. In fact, the only book adaptation that I've seen and really liked was Les Miserables and that one wasn't a movie! The original Victor Hugo book is long, tedious, overly complicated, and boring. The musical was much better!
