Summary of position

There is a wonderful summary of the various forms of consecrated life (as seen in the Roman Catholic church) over at my friend Sponsa Christi's blog. This is probably the best, and most succinct, summary of the different ways people have given themselves to God over the years. The only differences for Anglicans that I am aware of is that I don't think we have a form of consecrated virginity like the RC "order of virgins" (Sponsa Christi herself is a consecrated virgin). We definitely have Orders and Communities (enclosed and apostolic), and we even have a few diocesan hermits.
