Professionally speaking

Most of my regular readers will know that I work in occupational health and safety and risk management as a consultant/trainer, and that I've been working on a Graduate Diploma in OSH from Massey University, which I completed late last year. Graduation is on 9 May this year.

I got a surprise this morning when I logged on to my email and discovered that I am also invited to a special prizegiving after graduation becasue I'm the highest-graduating student from the qualification this year. I am officially stoked! And stunned.... my hands didn't stop shaking for over an hour this morning!

Yesterday was also a good day: I heard that I have been accepted as a Graduate Member of IOSH, the world's largest H&S professional body, which means I'm now on my way to Chartered status.
